AJA Introduces XENA 3.5 Delivering DVCPRO HD Support

New AJA XENA version 3.5 software adds powerful real time compressed HD workflows.

AJA Video today announced XENA 3.5, a new software upgrade to the company's Windows-based line of video playback and capture cards. XENA 3.5 will provide real time DVCPRO HD capture, playback and editing support in Adobe(r) Premiere(r) Pro CS3 as well as in AJA's Machina(tm) stand-alone deck-control, playback and capture application.
"We continue to extend the capabilities of our XENA family of products for Windows, and with the introduction of DVCPRO HD support in version 3.5, we offer a powerful compressed HD real time workflow, saving our customers time and disk space in the process," said Nick Rashby, President, AJA Video Systems. "DVCPRO HD support expands the already impressive list of file types and codecs available to XENA users."
XENA 3.5 will be available as a free upgrade to customers in early Q3 of 2008. XENA 2K also receives an immediate price drop to $2,990 US MSRP. Recently, AJA released an incremental version 3.1.1 upgrade to XENA featuring extended support for Adobe Production Premium CS3 applications, Vista 64, Autodesk (r)Combustion(r) 2008, and real time cropping or matte of REDCine 2K DPX material to 2048x1080 or 1920x1080 for editing or output.
