Software and Utilities for getting the most out of your AJA hardware

AJA offers incredible software to complement our legendary hardware: custom QuickTime drivers optimized for AJA's hardware, plus the flexible and intuitive AJA Control Panel for simple control of your hardware's many powerful features. Beyond these core software applications, AJA also provides many software utilities that give you advanced options not found on competing products. All of these utilities can be downloaded, free of charge, off the corresponding support web page for your AJA product.

AJA utilities are Universal Binary-they'll work on Mac Pro, Mac Book Pro and older Macs. Some utilities are also provided for Windows and iOS devices.

AJA SRExpress Software

The SRExpress application controls transfer of files from Sony SR-R1 digital recorders to RAID storage connected to a computer. A KONA 3G card or Io XT (for Thunderbolt-equipped Macs) serves as the intermediary device for file capture between the recorder and the computer with RAID. Once transferred, the files can be edited.
Now Gatekeeper certified for OS X Mountain Lion.

Controls the recorder to perform file transfers to the RAID-equipped computer.
Selects files in batches or individually.
Transfers files using 3G SDI and Thunderbolt connections.
Allows preview during transfer, or preview can be turned off.
Mac and Windows versions now available.

AJA Control Room (coming soon)

AJA Control Room™ allows configuration, video/audio ingest, conversion, as well as capture, playback and mastering to tape-all within a single easy-to-use application. Users can configure their video/audio I/O via a separate Control Panel which can be launched from AJA Control Room.

Capture to a wide variety of audio and video formats using the Capture mode of the AJA Control Room application. The straightforward UI makes capturing video from traditional VTRs-or from a live camera feed-easy.

A Playback mode lets users output their files from the wide variety of audio/video connectivity found on KONA products. Connect to monitors and projectors and use the simple playback tools for screenings and evaluations.

Finally, an Output mode allows users to perform an edit to tape using a wide variety of VTRs.

VTR Xchange (Mac)

Take control of external decks and perform frame accurate capture and output operations via you AJA hardware. No need to burden your NLE system just to capture or layoff to tape, use the free VTR Xchange software on any system with an AJA video I/O device and RS-422 capability.
